About the Role:

We are seeking an IT Project Manager to join our client’s team and support office relocations and data center expansion/migration projects for our banking industry client in New York. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of IT project management experience, with direct exposure to office relocations and/or data center migrations. This position will work under the guidance of a senior project manager and requires strong coordination, communication, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination & Execution: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of office relocation and data center expansion/migration projects.
  • Stakeholder Management: Work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and IT departments to ensure seamless transitions.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate as necessary.
  • Budget & Timeline Oversight: Assist in managing project budgets and ensuring milestones are met within deadlines.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain project plans, status reports, and documentation to ensure transparency and compliance.
  • Technical Liaison: Collaborate with IT teams to facilitate infrastructure setup, network connectivity, and system migrations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all relocation and migration activities comply with banking industry regulations and security standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5-10 years of IT project management experience, preferably in financial services or banking.
  • Hands-on experience with office relocations and/or data center expansion/migration projects.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and data center operations.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment (NY/NJ) with 2 days onsite.
  • PMP or other project management certifications are a plus.
