As a Mold Flow Specialist , you’ll lead injection molding analysis to support high-quality, innovative automotive part launches. Key Responsibilities
- Working with Tooling Engineers, lead Moldflow simulation activity for new part development
- Analyze Moldflow results and recommend part design, gating and process changes to improve part quality and process window
- Perform new tool qualification using a scientific molding approach.
- Compare results of molding trials to simulations and revise analysis assumptions to correlate results
- Develops and documents process and set-up procedures
- Provide support to plant requests for trouble shooting Part defects or processing issues.
- Completes MoldFlow related customer documentation when required.
- Support implementation of Scientific/ Decoupled Molding processes.
- Project management including DOE’s and process capability studies.
- Performs job in a safe manner and strives to meet or exceed company safety goals
Requirements

Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Proven experience with injection molding processes and mold flow simulation software.

Strong understanding of plastic materials and their behavior in mold design.

Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Adaptability in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Hands-on experience with plastic tooling and problem-solving in real-world scenarios.

Ability to manage multiple deadlines and collaborate across departments.
Nice-to-Haves (Trainable)

Moldflow certification is a strong asset.

Familiarity with CAE, CAD, and DFM tools.

Japanese OEM experience is considered beneficial.

Work Environment

Location: Woodstock, ON (onsite).

Hours: 7am–4pm with occasional paid overtime.

Travel: Some U.S. and international travel a few times/year.
Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $65,000–$80,000+ (based on experience).
